Bear Teeth

Ursus spelaeus, a massive omnivorous bear, inhabited caves year-round, unlike modern bears. It is hypothesized that competition for food and shelter with the contemporaneous brown bear contributed to the cave bear's extinction. Additionally, it is believed that prehistoric humans either revered the cave bear or utilized its remains in religious rituals.
