In this section, we have a collection of tools from the bronze age. The bronze age is a prehistoric period around 3300BC to 1200BC. This period marked the first time humans started to work with metal. The bronze tools made in this age were the tools that were to replace those made of stone. It was considered one of human’s most technological advances! This era was also when the first writing system was created!

This tomahawk-style war hammer makes for a deadly weapon. With the ability to swing quickly, the butt end was effectively used for punching through helmets and body armor. Axes such as these were mainly used as backup weapons.

These bronze spearheads could double as the head of a thrown javelin with elongated triangular blade features. The bottom of the weapon is mounted with an attachment tang that can be fitted inside the cavity of a wooden pole.

These socketed axe hammerheads are attached to a pole balanced to help the function and mobility of the weapon. With a flattened blade, drawn out from the top of the shaft, the blade then fans out towards the cutting edge. Typically created by craftsmen using three major methods: Open moulds, close moulds, and lost wax castings.
